Bordeaux, capital of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, is a south-western city ideally located between vineyards and beaches. Staying at a campsite near Bordeaux is undoubtedly an ideal base from which to enjoy the region’s pleasant, sunny climate, while ensuring a successful vacation!

Bordeaux, a city of art and history, is alive and kicking. Cultural, sporting or leisure activities, there’s something for everyone.
With its rich historical and architectural heritage, it has retained its charm of yesteryear and preserved many of the monuments that are the pride of its inhabitants. A visit to some of our historic monuments is a must! The Cathedral, the Grand-Théâtre, the Place de la Bourse or the Musée d’Aquitaine… The choice is so vast that the best alternative is to take the tourist bus. It allows you to discover a maximum number of points of interest in a minimum amount of time. Wander the streets, lose yourself in the maze of cobbled streets and discover the stone facades of Bordeaux, before enjoying a drink on the terrace of one of the many intimate squares.
If the capital of Gironde is appreciated for its gentle way of life, it is also renowned for its many natural spaces, ideal for walks within the city limits. Bordered by the Garonne River and just a stone’s throw from the Atlantic coast, Bordeaux is close to some of France’s finest seaside resorts, including Arcachon and Hourtin.
Before extending activities to the whole Gironde department, Bordeaux still has a few compulsory visits to make. Stop off at the “miroir d’eau” for a refreshing drink, and stroll along the quays of the Garonne, which will take you straight to the factory outlets for a shopping spree. If you’re intowine tourism, plan a visit to the Cité du Vin and return to the city center via the right bank, where you’ll discover the magic of Darwin’s alternative ecosystem.
The Bordeaux region offers a wide range of different excursions, most of which are less than 1 hour from the Gironde capital.
For a bit of fresh air, head to the Médoc, in the heart of the Châteaux region. The châteaux of the Médoc (Saint-Emilion, Malle and Château Pape-Clément) are all invitations to discover the region’s vineyards. Meet the producers and enjoy a Bordelais wine tasting while visiting the châteaux of the appellation during your stay at a campsite near Bordeaux.
For a family holiday, the beaches of the Arcachon basin or Lacanau are ideal for a day at the beach or water sports. Facing the basin, you can immerse yourself in the wilds of Cap Ferret, with its breathtaking views over the Arcachon basin and the Dune du Pilat.
Our 5-star La Côte d’Argent campsite in Hourtin is ideally located for a dream vacation. Not far from the central beach, close to Lac d’Hourtin, the Landes forest, Lac de Lacanau and its nautical base, it’s the ideal campsite for discovering the region’s most beautiful sites. Our campsite near Bordeaux is the ideal place to discover nature, with family or friends.
Just five minutes from Hourtin town center, it offers mobile homes/cottages, accommodating 4 to 8 people. For those who prefer a more basic form of tourism, shaded tent pitches are also available.
Featuring a 9,000 m² water park and leisure facilities, our campsite offers an aqua playground dedicated to the pleasures of water sports and swimming. Several heated pools, a paddling pool, waterslides, Jacuzzis and l’Ile aux enfants will delight young and old alike. The campsite also boasts a heated indoor swimming pool, a multi-sports field and children’s play areas.
